(and yeah, this time, we beg the main local audience, for the #Spanglish #AudioCaption to come out, as we have been busy with real life today, yet wanted the Segment’s DayView to proceed as ‘freshly’ as possible…)
Saludos!
Ah! Lest we forget, a Weather #Keyframe, courtesy of @WUnderground’s “WUnderous” iPhone app!
G’day Everyone… Muy Buenos Dias… to myself, as sole/only reader, and perhaps, todos aquellos que en el futuro aun lo leeran?… (bueno, a menos q’ los admin decidan deletearnos, no?)
Anyway, as I was sayin’/title-’in, the ‘furor’ of 48 hours ago, when I was able to reach out across the chasms and streams of all these manifold sites, to a certain someone whose constraints in defining a certain sought after profile, well, must be, for lack of a better word, somewhat “Macchiavellian” (yeah!… it’s hotter down THERES, ain’t it, Mephisto?) … and with fully-clarified access to the facts that ones current profile, is well, somewhat undefendable… looks like it’s goin’ backwards, so yeah…?
“I am SOOOO sorry, Mr. Employer!… I am not one of those, straight-to-the-top-not-only-was-I-capable-but-must-have-had-so-many-connections-that-well-do-I-need-to-say-more type…”
Seen them, no? (I guess maybe a #Transitional in this actuarially historic #GreatRecession may glimpse at this batch of vinegar-ey #SourGrapes and at least, reverberate?)
Anyway, today’s entry was supposed to be audio**; BTW, I’m testing out my Sea Legs, for lack of a better word, in terms of reach to the Southern Hemisphere, as who knows, glancing at the Stern Franchise yesterday made me realize there’s a profit in consistent nuttiness… and a release to one’s “Private Parts”, in the process.
So go ahead, listen to the next post if you dare, as we ‘detoured’ down a certain Like-d page, found half the audience stammering in their response, others tagging it as catastrophic, and a select few, well, may have had a laugh or two, as that was the intent, to amuse in this tercer lenguaje q’ muchos hemos desarrollado durante nuestra estadia como minorias en este gran imperio… yeah, I said empire, as after all, that’s still the hegemonic status of our economic prowess (Finally!… able to say ours, as at least there’s a Certificate issued by it, stating thus!)
So without further ado, here’s a few shots, as usual, the “Talkin About The Weather” Part (which no one seems to do anymore, perhaps as them loquacious Data Points have obliterated the need thus?)
[PLAYS WITH USE CASE... "SlideShow" MODE... SMILES!]

There!… it’s colder HERE than in Mississauga today!… so Vecina?… hahaaha!
Pancho Pepe
P.D: Also, for the sake of the #Spideys, here’s a few freshly minted ones, regarding the last 48 hrs (and yeah, timestampin’ them thoughts across ‘em servers, in case they prove worthy of profit someday?)
“Kaduko to Kudoku does not lead to!”
[DONNING A GREEN-ISH, YODA-ESQUE AVATAR, WITH MR. MIYAGI-LIKE DELIVERY]
“The Birth of MultiModal Alternate Captioning”
Yeah… that’s how I had to explain my literary proclivities* for someone; thinkin’ tho’, that the audience that may get it to be larger, as some may use tool like we did, to polish our understanding of Nuances, Enunciations – and those darned Gaelic & Welsh actors, with their slurry-like delivery… blooooody unintelligible… Caine on what? “Little…” something or other? Gotta @IMDB’it later!
Anyway, shall we move to the audio portion now?
*and lest I forget, the whole “Skip The Novel, Go Straight To The Screenplay” tagline/slogan, too!
(BTW: TimeStamped/Shared via Blog for TM, #SOPA, #ThisWasMyIdeaFirst, and here hoping that Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids Franchise has allowed him to search and finance others in his ancestro that may need a push to get back on the productivity treadmill, too!)
Might as well blame it on my proclivity towards recycling that stuff “sitting” on my clipboard, SPECIALLY once it’s gone past a third paragraph…
[CHUCKLES]
... The Fun of Micro-Bloggin'... yeah?
Anyway, Twitter wanted ME to say something about their “new” RT feat… want to hear it?
[PASTES UP!]
“Kinda cool, as it ‘preserves’ the original Tweet, one, and second, it allows for bypassing of Third-Party apps, as was the case in the past your web API/interface.
That said, I am one that likes to “Tweak” those retweets, manually, either as a “response” or to “enhance” them with additional hashtags, comments, or other items; that is now lost, and once again, you have the Third Party apps winning hands down in terms of functionality.
Maybe I’m missing the point, but you DID ask for feedback.
If you’re here, reading this, it’s either because we know each other, for a while, and you’re wondering about my whereabouts, so yeah, things could not be better, all things considered!… however, if you’re here ‘cuz a search engine found us, ‘cuz a tweet we liked and favorited, or because @LinkedIN fed me a “Job Posting” that in turn got to you ‘peek’ at the blog, well, read on! (or again, as you may have read the whole profile there… which is what I’m ‘#Reblogging’ here!)
So I’ll start at the beginning: I’m NOT a ‘millenial’ freshly minted out of a renowned college; what I actually am is, Demographics-wise, a “tail-end #Boomer”, a Venezuelan-American Inmigrant to the U.S, freshly-minted as a U.S. Citizen, whose life and travails are centered on all things technology, so no, if you’re actually looking for a younger mind to train, skip to the next profile/blog/search - and thanks for reading!
Yes, I have been around, know a few languages, some of them NOT spoken by machines but by people; fully bilingual in Spanish & English, conversant in German, and fluent in most every other app out there, yes.
Sorry, I don’t write nor develop code/scripts but I can manage/tweak well what others have written; so yes I can help you manage integrations and find workable workarounds in your I.T. Systems… and finally, YES, I’m looking for those in the business who consider Social Media/Networks as such: “Integrated I.T. Processes/Systems” – In Real Time & Mission-Critical to most!
Next steps? we surely can figure our whether or not I am the right guy for you; at that, continue here, check out the “#DemoReel (f.k.a. Blog); or follow @FJPalacio on Twitter? (and howzabout those @LinkedIN Recommendations? Good ones from Good Peoples, too!)
Take a peek, here, there and anywhere ~ hope to hear from some of you soon!…
Cheers!
P.S: And if anyone besides Corporate HR is here reading, perhaps:
a) I can play Mercenary for a while, help you out with a few battles, let you win the war and get a referral as a reward, too? or
b) Long Term Goal? Setup a Foundation/Network to ameliorate the gaps in the Usage of The Technologies, as some would put it… Maybe you and your partners can envision the profit potential across Demographics? Regions and Countries, too?… it’s ONE cloud, after all, no?
c-ya!

A coward cannot become a Buddha. We cannot attain Buddhahood unless we possess the heart of a lion. The harsher the situation, the bolder the stand we must take. This is the essence of the Soka Gakkai spirit.
Filed under: opinion Earlier this week, I wrote about what Moneyball‘s Peter Brand called the “epidemic failure to understand what is going on” plaguing the business, marketing and advertising worlds – when it comes to understanding that social media and social business are not just extensions of traditional “digital” stra […]
I finally watched Moneyball over the weekend. I’m not a big baseball fan but it held my interest, partly because it was based on a true story and partly because the movie really wasn’t about baseball at all. It was about old thinking vs. new thinking, about industry politics vs. the heresy of innovation, about [...]
The 5 basic rules of calculating the value of a Facebook ‘fan’ A question that routinely comes up in social media circles is what is the value of a Facebook fan? (The question also applies to the value of a Twitter follower, Youtube subscriber, email recipient, etc.) Invariably, whenever the question is asked, some mathematical savant – [...]
LTV infographic by Kiss Metrics “People pay you. Not pageviews.” That pretty much says it all. (image source.) This is as badass as it is self-explanatory. For those of you who don’t know how to estimate customer lifetime value (LTV, or CLTV), this infographic should be a pretty handy little tool. (Just ignore the Starbucks [...]
I was scheduled to participate in a panel on Social Media and ROI at the #sxswi conference this week. My schedule being what it is, I couldn’t be in two places at once and had to make the painful decision last week of cancelling my trip to Austin altogether. As much as I was looking [...]
This isn’t brand new data, but I came across it last week and thought it would be cool to share here. No need for me to write a 30,000 word blog post or white paper on what it all means. I will give you the main bullets but the graphics kind of speak for themselves. [...]
Let’s jump right in: With all this push for brands to “engage” in the social media space these past few years, the endless brouhaha of so-called Engagement strategies, bizarre measurement schemes like Return On Engagement and even the creation of new roles like Chief Engagement Officers and Engagement Strategists, you would think that engag […]
I told you I would bring back this post regularly. Here it is again, until the day when everyone understands how simple this is. Okay, here we go: If you are still having trouble explaining or understanding social media R.O.I., chances are that… 1. You are asking the wrong question. Do you want to know what one of the [...]
When my parents found out that I was writing a series of books that take place during the first world war (side project), my father started digging around through the family “vault.” The vault, real or figurative, contains oodles of documents, archives, family trees, heirlooms, photographs and other artifacts that touch on the family’s hist […]
Why didn't they have commencement speeches like this when I was growing up? In the past couple of years, it seems like more and more amazingly powerful commencement speeches have been making their way online. The Steve Jobs one still gets its fair share of million of views each and every year (watch it here: Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech 2005) […]
What is Facebook? It seems like an easy enough question to answer, doesn't it? If you ask the co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer, Mark Zuckerberg, he's likely to tell you that it's a platform which hopes to connect the world in a much more open way. If you ask the average person on the street, they'll probably tell you that […]
This is less about the tail making more money than the head. Chris Anderson's debut business book, The Long Tail - Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More, came out in 2004 with one simple concept: companies could make significant profits from selling small volumes of hard-to-find products to many customers instead of only selling large numbe […]

The HBO Go app from Time Warner has already produced more than 1 million downloads and it shows no signs of slowing down. TWCable TV is a new app that lets users watch Time Warner Cable (TWC) channels on their iPads. Having great-looking, HD, live content on a mobile device is certainly a treat, and while the app does not overwhelm with features initially, (new features are coming, which we’ll discuss in a bit) it does a great [...]
Overcoming resistance to change Most organizations contain their share of change agents—people who make things happen through smarts, savvy, force of will, or by virtue of their title. But how do these instigators overcome entrenched resistance? Researchers Julie Battilana and Tiziana Casciaro look at the role of personal networks in providing needed l […]

I've said repeatedly that corporate social media doesn't have its own strategy any more than Microsoft Word does. Social media is/are a set of really powerful tools, and therefore tactics, not a strategy. But that doesn't mean a company shouldn't be everywhere -- Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and maybe a couple of ...

I posted my 100,000th tweet on May 18th, and then left Twitter alone for the next 12 days. Part of it was so that I could leave that weird milestone (and not one that anyone need feel proud about) up there a while, and partly because I thought, “I wonder what I would learn if [...]
“How do I get more fans?” I hear this a lot. I’ve written about how to get more followers a few times, so instead of the same old, I thought I’d address this to folks who are working on growing themselves to be a person who has something of a growing (or huge) platform and [...]

Google has filed an antitrust complaint with the European Commission against Microsoft and Nokia and is also tattling on the companies with U.S. regulators, accusing them patent-troll-like behavior. The good thing about filing a complaint with the EC is Google doesn't have to do the legwork.
Carriers like Verizon and AT&T are trying to convince Netflix to pay for the bandwidth its subscribers consume on their networks. Rather than fork over the money, Netflix is giving its iPhone customers the option of turning off cellular access to Netflix completely.
